"Mego Bar" stands as the first social bar within the Samegrelo region, uniquely amalgamating two distinct spaces. On one facet, it offers a liberated workspace tailored for the youth, replete with organized daytime training sessions, conferences, and workshops. On the other, it functions as a cafe-bar, with the proceeds channeled into sustaining the cost-free workspace and nurturing youthful ideas. On average, about 400 young individuals avail themselves of this open workspace monthly.
"Mego Bari" epitomizes mobility, housed within an adapted old bus. It orchestrates informal gatherings and activities curated to cater to the needs of the youth—ranging from music festivals, training sessions, presentations, to intellectual games. Its endeavors extend across diverse locations throughout the region.
In 2021, "Mego Bus" earned the distinction of being a nominee for the Social Enterprise of the Year (securing the second position). The following year, both "Mego Bar" and "Mego Bus" were honored with the accolade of Innovative Projects of the Year, conferred by the Association of U.S. Government Exchange Programs.
