"Destination Management Organization (DMO) Samegrelo" is a joint private law non- entrepreneurial (non-commercial) legal entity established by 8 municipalities (Abashi, Zugdidi, Martvili, Senaki, Chkhorotsku, Tsalenjikhi, Khobi and Poti) in the Samegrelo region.
The goals and objectives of the Destination Management Organization (DMO) Samegrelo are:
- Development of services for unique tourism products of the Samegrelo region based on the principles of sustainable development tourism.
- Promotion of tourism in the region - coordination of activities aimed at promoting the region between private and public sectors in support of tourist activities and destinations; Creation of new tourism products and services. Promoting the development of tourist sites, infrastructure and human resources in the field of tourism.
- Promotion of the image of the region, both in Georgia and outside its borders, to attract local and foreign tourists.
- Implementation of activities in terms of strategy development and regional tourism development, in accordance with the principles of sustainable development of tourism and according to the strategy and priorities of the national tourism development of Georgia;
- Facilitation of the quality development of business companies operating in the region;
- Facilitating increase in visitor spending and duration of visits;
